An Important Update from Day’s Motorhomes
After more than 20 years of providing motorhome hire through Day’s Motorhomes, we have taken the difficult decision to cease our motorhome operation and will no longer be accepting new bookings for the 2027 season.
This has not been an easy decision. However, it has been made primarily on the grounds of long-term viability and our commitment to maintaining the high levels of customer service that we expect across the Day’s Rental business.
In recent years, the cost of repairing damaged motorhomes has increased significantly, while extended lead times for specialist body parts can result in vehicles being off the road for considerable periods. To operate such a seasonal business sustainably, we would need to increase both our hire rates and customer deposits to a level that we do not believe would represent good value for our customers.
Our motorhome operation is based solely at our Swansea premises and represents less than 0.13% of our overall hire business activities. As Day’s Rental continues to grow across its 15 UK locations, with a hire fleet of more than 10,000 quality vehicles, we have therefore made the decision to focus our resources and investment on our core vehicle rental and leasing operations.
For customers who already have a confirmed motorhome booking for 2027, please be assured that your booking will be honoured in full. We will, however, not be accepting any further motorhome bookings.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all our motorhome customers for their support and loyalty over the past decade. It has been a genuine pleasure helping so many customers enjoy their holiday adventures and supporting the wider motorhome community.
